TETON VALLEY, IDAHO

Mention the word Tetons, and most people automatically think of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, however Teton Valley is often referred to as the, “quiet side of the Tetons.” This charming community offers fresh mountain air, privacy, seclusion, incredible views, and is in close proximity to 3 major ski areas. This area features superb fishing, farmland, creeks, forest and meadows, including the Swan Valley ear, Mesa Falls, Palisades Lake, Teton River, and Big Hole Mountains. With a population of 1,736, one can enjoy the feeling of remoteness, while being within a comfortable distance to local shops, restaurants and a tremendous amount of recreation within easy reach. Lifestyle- Skiing, flyfishing, golfing Grand Targhee Resort is famous for great snow conditions, with over 500 inches of snow annually. The base of the mountain is at 8,000 feet in the Teton Mountain Range. Moments from Driggs, skier and snow boarders can enjoy around 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. At the base of the mountain Nordic skiers have about 5 kilometers of groomed cross-country tracks that wide through the forest and open meadows. Grande Targhee also offers sleigh-rides, snowmobiling and dogsled tours.

CHOICE FISHING

Experienced anglers from all around the world travel to Eastern Idaho for his notable rivers and trout streams. Henry’s fork, a Snake River tributary, is one of the most famous trout streams in all of the United States. This river flows for about 150 miles providing tremendous dry fly fishing. Many species of trout, large wild rainbows and browns occupy these waters makes this a fisherman paradise. The Teton River, which flows through Creekside Meadows, is the valley’s best kept secret. This river supports a thriving population of rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout. While fishing, you will also see osprey, eagles, sandhill cranes, moose, elk, buffalo, deer, and fox. 

GOLFING FOR ALL LEVELS

The Teton Valley basin offers a variety of golf courses. There is a golf course to meet everyone’s skill level. Golf courses in the area include Teton Reserve, Teton Springs, Headwaters, Huntsman Springs, The Links, River Rim and Targhee Village.
